Journey into a living rainforest — 1,200+ species across three canopy layers.
Our Tropical Rainforest Biome spans 2,000 square metres across Wing A, housing species collected from expeditions across Southeast Asia, Central America, and the Western Ghats. The biome is maintained at a constant 28–32°C with 80–90% relative humidity — precisely replicating the conditions of a lowland tropical forest.
Three distinct layers await visitors: a shadowy forest floor carpeted in ferns and mosses, a middle storey dense with Heliconias and tree ferns, and an upper canopy of palms and fig trees reaching 15 metres overhead.
A selection of the most remarkable plants in our tropical collection.
